Over 5,000 women, girls killed, 14,000 injured in Ukraine in 4 years – UN

Four years of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine have claimed the lives of over 5,000 Ukrainian women and girls, and another 14,000 have been injured, with 2025 becoming the deadliest year and the real number of victims likely much higher, according to the report “The Impact of Foreign Assistance Cuts on Women’s Rights and Women-Led Organizations in Ukraine” published on the website of the global organization UN Women on Friday.
